The mission of the Redstone School Accountability Committee (SAC) is to serve as an advisory council to the Principal and school leadership team. The duties of the SAC include: making recommendations on school budget and spending priorities, supporting the school goals and improvement planning, meeting quarterly to reflect on and discuss the school's progress towards defined goals, and assisting the school to increase family engagement.
The Redstone SAC meets once a quarter and membership consists of parents, a business/community representative, a member of the Parent/Teacher Organization, a classroom teacher and the Principal. SAC meetings are open to the public and all parents, teachers and community members are welcome to attend. Formal SAC elections for voting positions are held in the fall and members serve a two year term.
